
Jim Keele reelected Kansas State Legislative Board ChairmanCLEVELAND, August 6 - Jim Keele was reelected by acclamation today as Chairman of the Kansas State Legislative Board at meetings in Kansas City yesterday. Brother Keele is a member of BLET Division 336 (Osawatomie, Kan.) and joined the Brotherhood of January 1, 1974. Also reelected by acclamation was R.J.Dame, Secretary-Treasurer of the Board and member of BLET Division 587 (Salina, Kan.) The Kansas State Legislative Board is hosting a Town Hall meeting in Kansas City to coincide with its Board meeting. Several National Division officers attended yesterday's meeting and will also attend today's Town Hall meeting. BLET National President Ed Rodzwicz, First Vice-President Paul Sorrow, National Secretary-Treasurer Bill Walpert and Vice President & National Legislative Representative John Tolman will be on hand to talk directly to rank and file members during tomorrow's Town Hall meeting. The meeting will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6 at the Teamster Joint Council Building, 4501 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., in Kansas City, Mo. Brother Keele said the meeting is for all members to have a chance to talk directly to their National officers. He stressed that he would like to have as many rank and file members as possible attend the meeting. The National officers will provide an update on Brotherhood business and will participate in a question and answer session with the members. Also, Keele said Vice President Tolman will discuss the importance of the November elections. |
